When I was 3, I picked up my first pair of drum sticks and haven't put them down since. Now, at 12, my journey is one that would be the envy of many older musicians. I started out with formal lessons at the age of 4 years old and attended the School of Rock at age 7. This set the stage for my drumming career, and is where I formed my punk/indie rock band, “Just Cause” with fellow School of Rock peers Alec Dakin and Jake Bender.
I've been blessed with great musical influences like myfavorite metalcore drummers and mentors Matt Greiner (August Burns Red) and Adam Gray (Texas in July). At 10, I had the opportunity to write and perform a drum solo for the inaugural Greiner&Kilmer Drum Day. I've also had the privilege of having personal instructions with Luke Holland (The Word Alive), Johnny Dee (Doro, Britny Fox), David Uosikkinen (The Hooters).I was also inducted into Robert Knight’s group ‘The Drummerhood” as the youngest member of the group.
I've performed at the School of Rock (Fort Washington campus) since the age of 7 and I've been a part of its House Band since age of 9. Which has let me tour throughout the country playing shows with successful rock musicians!
I purchased a snare from G&K when I was 9 years old and loved it immediately. The wood and finishes on their drums are very catchy to the eye and the sounds that they produce are incredible. My current setup is a sepele and bloodwood kit with a mahogany snare. I play this kit often with my band Just Cause. When we play shows with other bands, the drummers marvel over my G&K setup. The other thing that I really like is that my kit was made and looked after by the same person through every step of the process from picking out the wood to fastening the last lug nut. You can't beat this type of quality. I take my drumming seriously and am in if for the long haul. It makes sense for me to invest in a product that is well built and know that G&K is committed to making quality products and providing outstanding support
