Joe Longobardi

I've been playing drums for 11 years. I started when I was 17 just playing in friends basements and garages, basically wherever I could. When I was a senior in high school I joined a band called Palehorse and we toured pretty heavily for a couple years. In my mid to late 20's I played for a multitude of other bands including Transit, Call It Arson, The Queen Killing Kings, Hostage Calm, Trash Talk and Dreamtigers. Now, at 29, I've been playing for Defeater for almost 4 years. We've toured the world a few times over and I am extremely fortunate to be able to do what I love with some of my best friends.

I own a 6.5x14 Segmented Walnut/Birdseye Maple Snare from GK. Its an unbelievably diverse drum and I'm always complimented on it whenever I play out. The company is owned by true masters of the craft. They believe in their product and it shows when you play on anything they've made. I've played multiple GK snares and each is beautiful and unique in its own way.
